Cathryn Farr
lifewritingcathryn@gmail.com
Cathryn is a Life Writer. She adores exploring stories of normal people doing hard things. She prompts memories through interviews, finds themes, then pens the extraordinary from the lives of her clients. Cathryn’s prose convinces her clients that their lives resonate with readers.
Cathryn’s own story includes being the first female on her mother's side to graduate high school. After homeschooling her six children, she earned a Bachelor's of English from BYU-Idaho. During the Covid pandemic, she left her beloved Idaho mountains and crossed the pond to earn an MA in Biography and Creative Non-fiction from the University of East Anglia, UK. While in England, she discovered that her paternal grandmother had also earned a Master’s while in her 50s. This animated her life writing with the mysterious connections we have with our ancestors.
When not writing, Cathryn hikes in the Tetons, pickleballs, or adventures with her husband and grandchildren.

At the center of her world are faith and family. She’s married to Clark, and together they’ve raised four children and are now enjoying three grandchildren—with hopes for even more.

M. Kay Bush
m.kaybush@gmail.com
M. Kay Bush is an international best-selling author who spent over forty years supporting children and teens in schools, hospitals, and support group settings. In her book, You Can Do Hard Things: Life Tools for Teens, Kay summarizes the life skills and strategies she learned from the young people in front of her. She witnessed the same eight strategies applied to the individual stories that helped them to take charge of their challenging circumstances. These strategies are the Life Tools of this book.
Kay continues to share the message to young people and adults about using the Life Tools to get through hard things. While the online platforms were originally conceived to support teens, they have now expanded to include the stories of adults. It’s clear… we all need encouragement and reminders at any age.
